Interviewer: “Do you ever bother to read about these great interpretations about your work? Back in 1961 or 1962, similar artists worked very independently but evolved the same attitude. Does it seem odd to you that you all looked at the world in the same way?”

Andy Warhol: “Hmm. I think we just read a lot of comic books and just happened to come out then. Because comic books make things the way they are really today, the way things happen in New York now is like being in a western movie.”
