SLEEP (2013) remake after Andy Warhol (1963)

This 8-hour spectacle pays homage to Andy Warhol’s classic from 1963. At his time the technology did not allow him to make it in full and even today the massive lenght of the film caused issues even on SD quality. Anyhow here it is – Juha Lilja sleeping for full 8 hours. No looping or faking. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2828546/

The film was screened at Rotterdam International Film Festival in 2015.

  1. I really don't wanna be alone here but I'm going to come right out and say it… Andy Warhol would be right proud of you…. I really didn't want to be the only one praising you because everyone else is talking about your butt or your penis or the ticking noise or your sheets… So I'm going to come right out and say that this was incredible and I loved it and I've always wanted to see this movie remade…. Thank you and I love you very much as an artist and as a genius
