Pop art is a striking and bold art style, so in this tutorial mixing that with neon colors and some creepy demon teeth makes the perfect halloween costume and makeup! This isn’t exactly pop art, but our own versions! I use mainly body paint, but you can always make a pretty bad ass demon with some eyeshadow and a few liner pencils.

If wearing this out for Halloween day/night, make sure to finish the look off with a generous amount of setting spray of your choosing. Switch the black body paint around the inside of your mouth for a waterproof gel liner, or a waterproof liquid liner.
The contacts DO impair your vision, so DO NOT wear these while driving. Otherwise, they are definitely wearable around at a party or out at night.
As for a costume, you could always pair it with a fun strapless dress of the color you chose, or even a button up shirt and pants. To add MORE of the pop art effect, take your costume or the clothes you are going to wear and continue the black lines around the clothing so you’re pop art from head to toe.
Have fun and be safe!

Actor Alan Cumming presents a quick fire guide to Pop Art
From the streets of Manhattan Alan Cumming whips through the history of Pop Art in America and Britain, from Andy Warhol’s soup cans to Peter Blake’s blue jeans.
Unlock Art is Tate’s new short film series, offering a witty inside track on the world of art. Alan Cumming joins forces with new Doctor Who actor Peter Capaldi, Frank Skinner and other celebrity art fans to introduce some of the big ideas that have shaped art history. A new film is released each month, with topics ranging from the history of the nude and the nature of the art market, to surrealism and Pop art. The topic of the last of the eight films in the series will be put to an online public vote.
Unlock Art is a collaboration between Tate and Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts. Le Méridien Unlock Artmicrosite:
As an ongoing supporter of Tate’s work, Le Méridien also sponsors the Outset/Frieze Art Fair Fund to benefit the Tate collection, which enables Tate to buy work by emerging artists at Frieze London.

– Sorry that I’m looking down so much in this video, I had just woken up and wasn’t fully aware that I was filming, if that makes sense to you!?! This would also be great if you needed a last minute idea since it doesn’t involve to much. 🙂 Hope you guys enjoy and remember don’t draw in your crease lol! ;p xox

Subject : Urban pop Princess (Madonna from her “Celebration” cover)….this is a commissioned piece
190cm x 100cm
Urban Pop art
Thanks for looking in on me. In this clip, I have captured a small corner of a large urban pop piece being done. A piece like this takes about 20 hours of complete on canvas work time, plus stencil and graphics work. This clip is made by way of documentation, rather than creation…..so it is shot as raw as the actual painting itself. I also started shooting it at 3.40am….LOL… I was just coming up to this part, and thought Id rip out the camera.
If you are new to my art, my urban pop style is also done on textured canvases (thats the basis of almost all of my work) and I take care with some parts, and other parts I will do quite rough intentionally as I push some layers to the back, and draw others to the front. Its all about texture and layers. Layers in the background, layers in the imagery…….layers.
I like my Urban Pop to share similar DNA to a piece of street art, done on a wall with advertising, imagery and doodling. 🙂
