CAC International Art – Romero Britto style

Romero Britto, the youngest and most successful pop artist of this generation has a happy, colorful outlook on his life . Britto was born in Brazil on October 6, 1963. He grew up in a very poor lifestyle with 7 brothers. He’s a self-taught artist who painted on scraps of paper, newspaper, cardboard, or anything he could find. He believes that art is too important not to share. With his success as an artist came a charitable heart. He has paired with many charities to help others in need, particularly less fortunate children. His vibrant, bold, colorful patterns and hard edge compositions reflect warmth, life, happiness, hope, love, and optimism. Collectors of his art included Pepsi Cola International, Disney, ad Apple Computers, the Swedish Royal Family, former President George Bush, and Whitney Houston. He has been commissioned by Cirque du Soleil, the Super Bowl, the United Nations, Movado, BMW, Royal Caribbean Cruises, and Adidas.
The Challenge: Create an artwork with bold color, black lines, and hard edges to convey a happy warm feeling.
